Interview with MK Ultra Magazine, 1996

MK: You certainly brought something to that band because although I’ve always listened to KMFDM, those last two records are my favorites. What was it that you brought to the table?

 Tim:  I don’t know. It’s all individual perception, because I don’t want to analyze myself to the point where I become narrowed down to “this is what I do and this is how I do it.” I want that to be open ended, so maybe it’s that I’m from further up north than those guys. So I’m a little bit different. I guess I’m a sucker for pop music, and I was raised on Abba, so I like catchy melodies and chord progressions but I also like a good fucking beat. So it’s all about merging things. I like coming up with that perfect blend.

  • Tim Skold: It seems that for humans, wisdom can not be passed on. Each generation starts fresh and has to make it's own share of mistakes. Besides, I don't preach, only lead by example.
